mutabilon

The mutabilon lamp is based on the classic form of a lampshade. However, it is quite different from the traditional ideal in terms of the visual image, material and use.

The lampshade is not hanging, as usual, in a horizontal plane; instead it is inclining. The user is free to open the lampshade, wrap it together or crinkle it – just as he wishes. The effect of the light changes accordingly.

Due to the flexible plastic shade, the reshaping is easy. Special cut-outs in the lampshade permit the shade to be clamped into a textile cable.
